Terms of Service

By accessing or using ResumeShine.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

ResumeShine uses AI to help you tailor, format, and score a resume against a job description, and offers related tools such as cover letter generation. Features, templates, and pricing may change over time.

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information to create an account. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.

ResumeShine is pay-as-you-go, not a subscription. Your first resume shine is free. After that:

• You purchase credit packs (e.g. Shine Pack, Power Pack); each tailored resume uses 1 credit.
• Credits are a one-time purchase — there is no auto-renewal and no recurring charge.
• Credits never expire and remain on your account until used.
• Purchased credits are non-refundable once used; unused credits may be refunded within a reasonable period of purchase — contact support@resumeshine.ai.
• We may change credit pack prices at any time; changes only apply to purchases made after the change.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to fabricate credentials, employment history, or qualifications you don't have — ResumeShine is built to enhance real experience, not invent it.
• Upload content that infringes others' rights or violates any law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

You own the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you submit. You grant ResumeShine a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content (including to AI providers, see our Privacy Policy) solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

ResumeShine's AI drafts wording, formatting, and suggestions based on the content you provide. It can make mistakes. You are solely responsible for reviewing every AI-generated resume, cover letter, or suggestion before using it, and for making sure it's accurate and truthful. We do not guarantee any outcome, including interviews or job offers.

The Service, including its templates, design, and code, is owned by ResumeShine and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, brand, or underlying software beyond using the Service as intended.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeShine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost income or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

When you refer a friend, you each receive one free resume "re-shine" once your friend signs up and completes their first resume using your referral link. Referral rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, limited to one per successful new referral, and may be limited or discontinued at any time. Self-referrals and fraudulent signups don't qualify.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ResumeShine is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Venue/arbitration clause to be finalized by counsel.]

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
